About the Founder

Zonya Brewton, has spent several years in For-Profit Organization where she often witnessed and navigated through organizational restructuring, requiring her to quickly adapt and manage change. Her ability to rapidly assess, identify impact, and recommend solutions was key to being successful in a world where nothing remains the same. Although Zonya acknowledges that she developed her skills and experience during her career, there is also the realization that much of the drive required to be successful in this area was innate.

Growing up as the ninth of ten children, Zonya was considered one of the caring, light hearted, fun, carefree, yet spirited siblings. One might surmise that navigating through a family of this size was what actually prepared her for the ever-changing world that she would someday see through the lens of a working woman.

While Zonya has impacted individual lives through long-term involvement in the Big Brother Big Sister Program, support of Senior Citizens through Department of Family Service, etc., she always knew that she could impact lives on a broader scale, by supporting the Non-Profit Organizations that provide the services.

By transferring her skills and knowledge to Non-Profit Organizations, Zonya realized the impact that she could have on hundreds of lives through organizational development and training. Out of her passion and her desire to make a difference in an environment where success is based on the lives that are improved vs. increasing dollars, Zonya founded ZB’s Step Up Organizational Development and Training, providing an experience that is Simple, Transferable, Enlightening, Powerful, Unique and Practical.
